I always thought it was kinda inconvenient that there’s a “DNS propagation” downtime. Looks like one of the things Google is doing is making DNS propagation fast and asynchronous to requests.

Google Public DNS independently resolves domain names and keeps the resolutions in the cache until their time-to-live (TTL) expires, at which point they are automatically refreshed. The cycle of caching and refreshing is performed offline, asynchronously with user requests, so that responses are almost always available directly from cache.

what is the pricing model for AWS EBS? …
huh, that’s odd… some spammer must have taken over the results for ‘amazon web services pricing’ …
no, the URL is correct. maybe someone hacked Amazon!!
*search for ‘amazon.com’*…
yeah, someone definitely hacked amazon. I better write a blog post about this! eh, someone probably already has …
my cat looks like Jabba the Hut…
*search for ‘hacked amazon’*….
hmm, all of these are marked as malware too. very odd…
I’m hungry… eggs sound good for breakfast, maybe with a hot toasted english muffin…
orange juice…
*search for ‘google’* woah that’s marked as malware too!
this definitely deserves a blog post…
I bet TechCrunch has already written a post about it…
*search for ‘techcrunch’* (note: I use google as my URL bar)…
Shit! even that’s marked as malware…
I’m definitely writing a blog post now…

Adobe just dropped a bomb as far as I’m concerned. They’ve announced a collaboration between Google and Yahoo to bring fully searchable SWFs. Ted on Flex reveals the best part:

The cool part is that this also covers dynamic data loaded in from requests to a server, these are typically ignored in both AJAX and SWF applications.

This is going to open the door for a lot of the cool and useful things we’ve been wanting to do for clients at Figaro, but have had reservations about because of SEO implications, and I’m sure many RIA houses out there feel the same.

Combine this news with a tool like swfaddress to provide deep linking into your applications and BAM! you have a killer combo. Let’s just remember to keep our apps classy and tasteful, guys and gals. This news isn’t cause to go hog wild with flash like the late 90s, early 2000s restaurant site debacle.
